Recently, as I’ve been packing up my house, I found some of my old journals. Scrawled on a scrap of lined paper, wedged between the pages of a journal from three years ago, was list of dreams / manifestations / goals / whatever-you-want-to-call-them titled: Lion’s Gate Portal. I remember writing this back when I was living at home. I wrote it on a sticky, wobbly corner table in Costa (where I would go essentially every day during this phase in my life.) Thankfully, so so so much has changed since I wrote this list of what I wanted my life to be, but it was interesting to see how much has also stayed the same. I felt pretty destabilised at the time, and unsure of what the helllll I was doing and how I ended up making the decision to move out of my house in London and go home for two years, but I also knew that it felt right. I knew that I had to leave what was undeniably a good, comfy set-up to make room for something that I really, really wanted. I think, in my mere twenty-nine years of experience, a lot of life is like that: jumping and letting the net appear.
